OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Taylor Harris, Dayton Senior (RS) | Running Back | Centerburg, Ohio Harris returned from a Week 1 injury to score two touchdowns in Dayton’s 20-14 non-conference victory against Robert Morris, Saturday. He missed the previous six quarters due to a knee injury but returned against RMU to carry the ball 19 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Harris scored the game’s first touchdown and his second scoring run provided the game-winning margin.
D’Andre Randle, Jacksonville Sophomore | Wide Receiver | Miami, Fla. Randle had just three catches, but took two of them to the end zone in Jacksonville’s 33-10 non-conference victory against Webber International, Saturday. His first catch turned into a 64-yard touchdown reception that provided the game-winning points. Randle later added a 34-yard touchdown catch-and-carry. He finished the day with 3 catches for 114 yards and three touchdowns.

Howard Savage, Dayton

Savage posted four passes defended, including an interception, in Dayton’s 20-14 non-conference victory against Robert Morris, Saturday. He also led the Flyers with nine tackles (five solo). Savage’s interception came after a Dayton fumble set up Robert Morris offense in Dayton territory and stopped the resulting drive at the 15-yard line. In addition, he forced a fumble on a tackle for loss that short-circuited another Colonials first-half drive. Savage’s four passes defended in a game are second-most in the FCS this season.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Pignatiello, Dayton
Freshman (RS) | Punter | Tipp City, Ohio
Pignatiello led all PFL punters with a 39.8 punting average to help Dayton hold off Robert Morris for a 20-14 non-conference victory, Saturday. His eight punts for 318 yards kept the Colonials bottled up with an average starting position of their own 23-yard line. Pignatiello placed four of those punts inside the 20-yard line. He also boomed a 49-yard punt that forced a fair catch at the RMU 12-yard line.
